Bowling For Backpacks

The Palm Beach County Democratic Party 2nd Annual bowling event was held on July 31, 2013 at the Palm Beach Strike Zone bowling facility. The theme of the event was "Bowling for Backpacks". All proceeds benefited the back to school backpack drive for needy Palm Beach County schoolchildren.1 backpack for Palm Beach County elementary schools was included in the ticket price.
Democratic club, groups and individuals put together bowling teams to compete in the event. The bowling for backpacks event contributed over 100 backpacks and supplies to the Helping Hands Initiative-back to school backpacks and supplies giveaway program. A program whereby young people of today will have some of the tools needed to develop the skills of the future.
